The film works with the theme of exile in a Swedish context today. How do you process closeness and longing for a place? What happens to the sadness that arises when we find roots among the concrete but are forced to leave the place yet again? How do we deal with the hate-love for our place? It is said that trauma is inherited, even if we did not experience the exile ourselves. How do we make ourselves whole again?
